I’ve never come across an anime romance with so much heart. The characters are genuine and relatable, while its “will they or won’t they” plot is far less tiresome than many other titles in its genre. Give this a look; you won’t regret it!
Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shiogane make an effective duo when it comes to running Shuchiin Academy. Though initially cold and calculated, both have kind hearts lurking beneath their exteriors; Shinomiya and Miyuki share a deep connection which they find hard to acknowledge within themselves; this year they’ve even joined forces to participate in their school’s culture festival together!
Kaguya-Sama does an outstanding job at balancing romance-com humor with character development, and its callbacks to previous seasons don’t feel pandering or patronizing. Unfortunately, however, its downside can be bogged down with too many exposition dumps; in the manga this can easily be accomplished using single panels; unfortunately the anime takes more time delivering similar commentary which sometimes causes its comedy to lose momentum. Nonetheless, Kaguya-Sama remains an incredible romantic anime which will leave an everlasting impression on viewers; anyone interested in this genre should watch it at least once as it serves as a true example of how romance anime should be executed perfectly – pure yet refreshing and simply an absolute pleasure to watch!

Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai is an upbeat comedy-drama about overcoming adolescence’s obstacles, following high school student Sakuta Azusagawa who suffers from Puberty Syndrome – a condition in which girls experience peculiar effects associated with puberty or body changes that sometimes leads them to appear invisible or gain magical abilities.
One day while studying in the library, Sakuta notices a girl wearing a bunny girl outfit who introduces herself as Mai Sakurajima and only she can see. Over time he encounters more girls who suffer from Puberty Syndrome and attempts to assist them.
This show offers both comedic situations and characters while also deliberatively and sensitively tackling serious topics like peer pressure and individualism. Although some of the girls’ problems involve supernatural phenomena, they remain relatable and accessible despite any perceived fantasticality.
This story is enjoyable and engaging, with each episode featuring an expanding cast. Though at times this may become overwhelming, its variety of personalities makes for an interesting watch. Unfortunately, however, its ending comes far too soon, leaving off with something like an abrupt cliffhanger instead of providing closure.
